Milling works – a set of actions aimed at processing a variety of materials using a special gear mechanism of various configurations – milling cutters.
The workflow is the rotation of the cutter along with the translational movement in various directions of a rigidly fixed workpiece. Milling processing is carried out in two ways: oncoming or against the feed, when the feed direction of the workpiece is opposite to the direction of rotation of the cutter and along the feed, when the feed motion of the workpiece and the rotation of the tool are the same.
Turning on machines allows the following operations:
